bettervest was launched in 2012 to finance energy efficiency projects from citizens. The reason: Energy efficiency saves money, conserves resources and reduces CO2 emissions. Futurologist Patrick Mijnals presented this idea at a start-up weekend and convinced his first future colleagues there. In the weeks that followed, Patrick recruited other co-founders with different skills. An idea soon became a business model. A lot has happened since the launch of the first project in 2013.
